CURSED ATUK- The Incomparable story of a mysterious curse of unfilmed movie Atuk.

UNFILMED ATUK

Probably you wouldn't have heard about Atuk because it was never completely filmed. This remains as an unfilmed script written by Tod Carroll which was based on the novel The Incomparable Atuk by Mordecai Richler. Don't take this one silly because Atuk curse has killed all the actors who had interest on taking the role. The curse of Atuk is infamous in Hollywood for it's reputation in killing several people.

The first Alleged victim of this curse was the Comedian John Belushi. He expressed a keen interest on taking the role of Atuk. When the curse struck, He was found dead of drug overdose in his room on March 5 of 1982.

Sam Kinison was the second victim of this curse. In 1986 he was offered the role of  Atuk and he accepted it. After the filming of one scene he felt dissatisfaction about the script and demanded rewrites in the script. In 1992, he died in a car accident in which his wife survived without serious injury.

In 1994 another comedy actor John Candy was approached with the role of atuk. he died of a heart attack while reading the script. It is also said that Michael O'Donoghue who was a friend of John Candy was struck with this curse. There are rumors that said Michael O'Donoghue has read the script before the death of John Candy. He died due to sudden cerebral hemorrhage.

The last person who showed interest on taking the role of atuk was the comedian Chris Farley. He considered John Belushi as his idol. Just like Belushi he was also found dead due to a drug overdose in 1997. Chris Farley's good friend Phil Hartman was also hit by the curse. In 1998, he was murdered by his wife. It is said that Chris Farley had shown the script to Phil Hartman and was encouraged to take on a role in Atuk.

Due to Atuk's sweet memories no one was really interested in the movie after these delightful events. This script was never made into a film. If you are interested in reading another creepy story please click here.
